§3 · How it works

Atlassian Forge

External Data Sync is built on Atlassian Forge, so its compute and app storage run on Atlassian's infrastructure.

It also reaches Any external API you configure (by design), which is why it isn't in the Runs on Atlassian program. The security page lists exactly what leaves and why.
